Kansas wage and hour laws, 2026
The minimum wage in Kansas is $7.25 an hour in 2026; overtime is owed after 40 hours a week for most workers (federal law). State law excludes employment covered by the federal FLSA. The state’s own 46-hour rule covers only work the FLSA does not. Tipped workers can be paid $2.13 an hour in cash, with up to $5.12 of their tips counted toward the $7.25 minimum.
